The Three Ayurvedic Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha

Kapha Dosha

Kapha is associated with the elements of earth and water. It governs structure, stability, and lubrication in the body. People with a dominant Kapha dosha tend to be calm, steady, and nurturing. However, when Kapha is out of balance, it can lead to weight gain, congestion, and lethargy.

To balance Kapha, it is important to stay active and engage in regular exercise. Eating light, warm, and spicy foods can help stimulate digestion and reduce Kapha. Avoiding excessive sleep and incorporating stimulating activities into your routine can also help balance Kapha.

Understanding Your Dosha
